Karma

I found a poem that I had written while living in Seattle. I had moved there months before with my ex husband. Yes, moved 2500 miles away from everyone I had ever known because well, he was my husband. I worked at an urgent care clinic that was 24 hours and I went to college, so my schedule was pretty packed. I won't go into details in this blog about my ex, just that he was an emotional , spirital, and physical abuser. I was a young , ignorant girl who thought what we had was love. This was back in 2000 that I wrote this and it was my savior writing it down. It's short, but sweet. I also made my first purchase as a "recovering woman" , my favorite Picasso print, Blue Nude. I still have it. It reminds me that no matter how mentally, spiritally, and physicially "naked" or alone I feel, I am stronger, wiser, and braver today for it. 

 What ravage beast awakened this temptress soul?

Created you a demon , shattered by the rules of love?

Fate has led you to bea monster. Desire led you to be a liar.

Lust led you todebauchery.

Pride has led you to humility.

Envy will led you tomadness.

Sloth will lead you to unliveliness.

Karma will lead youto be alone.

Sorrow is what you deliver-anguish is what you deserve.
